#  Drosophila neuroscientist Troy Zars has died

Troy Zars, who was Professor in the Division of Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri, has died. Colleagues [took to Twitter](https://twitter.com/Goodflies/status/1079897048080621568) to express the impact of the loss.
