Drosophila research image and video awards presented at ADRC 2017

The Drosphila Image Award honors "striking" research image that "that clearly conveys a point of important biological information in Drosophila research." A similar award is presented in the area of video. This year's awardees were announced at the recent ADRC 2017 in San Diego, CA.  The honorees are listed below. Award winners:
Helen Weavers, for her video ‘Systems Analysis of the Dynamic Inflammatory Response to Tissue Damage’
Yali Zhang, for her image of ‘The basis of food texture sensation in Drosophila’.

Runners-up:
Yusuke Hara, for his video ‘Non-invasive Tension Estimation during the Early Stage of Dorsal Closure’
Tvisha Misra, for her image illustrating that different cellular hypoxic states correlate with tracheal supply in the brain.
