HHMI Janelia Research Campus announces AI-driven "virtual fly"

On March, 15, 2024, the Howard Hughes Medical Institutes Janelia Research Campus posted a news blurb titled "Artificial Intelligence brings a virtual fly to life" that describes work by scientists at Janelia and Google DeepMind that "combines a new anatomically accurate model of the fly’s outer skeleton, a fast physics simulator, and an artificial neural network trained on fly behaviors to mimic the actions of a real fly."
