Drosophila biologist Lewis I. Held has published a new book, Deep Homology? Uncanny Similarities of Humans and Flies Uncovered by Evo-Devo with Cambridge University Press (release date Jan. 31, 2017). Volker Hartenstein of UCLA is quoted as saying that "Deep Homology? reaches beyond the basic science arena and will be a relevant and inspiring read for a broad readership interested in the biological underpinnings of human health and disease."
