*Drosophila* biologist [Lewis I. Held](http://www.depts.ttu.edu/biology/people/Faculty/Held/) has published a new book, ***[Deep Homology? Uncanny Similarities of Humans and Flies Uncovered by Evo-Devo](http://www.cambridge.org/us/academic/subjects/life-sciences/evolutionary-biology/deep-homology-uncanny-similarities-humans-and-flies-uncovered-evo-devo?format=PB)*** with Cambridge University Press (release date Jan. 31, 2017). Volker Hartenstein of UCLA is quoted as saying that "Deep Homology? reaches beyond the basic science arena and will be a relevant and inspiring read for a broad readership interested in the biological underpinnings of human health and disease."
