#  Marta Vicente-Crespo, co-founder of DrosAfrica, wins 2017 Suffrage Science award

 In March 2017, Marta Vicente-Crespo, a founder of [DrosAfrica](http://drosafrica.org/), received a Suffrage Science award "[to recognise her scientific achievements and ability to inspire others](http://drosafrica.org/node/44)." She was one of twelve women honored on March 8th (International Women's Day) at the [MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences](http://csc.mrc.ac.uk/) with a Suffrage Science award.
