 The North American *Drosophila* Board aims to reach *Drosophila* reseachers with the following message: "A [Request for Information on User Experience with Scientific Data Sources and Tools](https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-21-182.html) has been posted by NIH. A significant response from the fly community could help [FlyBase](http://flybase.org/), which remains underfunded now and is danger of remaining underfunded in the future. Please take a moment to [take the survey](https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-21-182.html) to show how valuable FlyBase is to our community. The response date on the announcement is Oct 15."
