The importance to the worldwide community of the Vienna Drosophila Research Center (VDRC) was highlighted in an article appearing in Austria's nationally distributed *Die Presse*, "Wiener Fliegen für die weltweite Forschung" (translated by the VDRC as "Viennese flies for worldwide research").
